CARRISSA CHAN

Carrissa Chan — Pianist
A recipient of Malaysia’s highly competitive JPA full scholarship, Carrissa Chan refined her artistry at King’s College London, where her performance studies were delivered in partnership with professors from the Royal Academy of Music. Their joint assessment awarded her first-class marks and shaped a musical voice celebrated for its narrative depth and technical clarity.
Artistic Identity
Carrissa believes music is “a journey where emotion becomes sound, stories come alive, and light is shared.” Her upcoming solo recital — Romantique — weaves Chopin, Schubert and Rachmaninoff with the poetic worlds of Studio Ghibli and contemporary anime, inviting audiences to experience classical tradition through a modern, cinematic lens.
